Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Pheromone Ltd (company number 16692722, 11 Monaco Drive, Manchester, M22 4FG). By using Pheromone you agree to them. We've kept them short. If something doesn't sit right, email us and we'll talk.
You must be 18+
Pheromone is a dating app for adults. Don't use it if you're under 18, and don't pretend to be older than you are.
One account per person
One real person, one profile. Don't impersonate anyone, don't use someone else's photos, and don't run more than one account.
Be a person, not a bot
Pheromone is for people meeting people. Don't use it for marketing, recruiting, scams, paid promotion, or anything that uses conversations as a business channel. Accounts doing this will be banned.
Treat people well
We have zero tolerance for:
- Harassment, threats, hate speech or targeted abuse
- Sharing or requesting non-consensual intimate images
- Predatory behaviour towards minors
- Anything illegal under UK law
Conduct that crosses these lines will get your account closed without warning. Where appropriate, we'll cooperate with the police.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put on Pheromone: photos, prompts and messages. By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it in the app so other users can see it. That licence ends when you delete the content.
Our content
The Pheromone name, logo, design and code are ours or licensed to us. Don't copy them or present your product as Pheromone.
Venues and perks
Perks and specials are offered by the venues themselves. The venue decides the terms of each offer and is responsible for honouring it. Drink responsibly; venues may refuse service as normal.
Moderation
We use AI to screen photos and messages for abuse. It catches a lot but not everything. Use the Report button if you see something it missed. People review every report.
Meeting safely
We don't guarantee that you'll match with anyone, that the service will always be available, or that another user is who they claim to be. Meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and leave if you feel uncomfortable.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses from your use of Pheromone, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months. For free users that is zero.
Ending the relationship
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also use your local courts.
Changes
If we change anything material, we'll tell you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect.
